BlackBerry® Smartphone have become an indispensable tool for business professionals on the move. Below are some shortcuts to help you navigate your BlackBerry® Smartphone.

Message list shortcuts:

Press 'C' to compose a new message

Press 'R' to reply

Press 'L' to reply to all on the highlighted message

Press 'F' to forward highlighted message

Press 'T' to skip to the top of the message list

Press 'B' to skip to the bottom of the message list

Press 'Space' or 'Shift + Space' to move a page at a time

Press 'P' to skip to the start of the previous day

Press 'N' to skip to the start of the next day

Use 'J' and 'K' to navigate through a thread of messages

Press 'U' to find Unread messages

Press 'Alt + U' to mark a message as unread

Press 'Alt + O' to view sent messages

Press 'I' as a shortcut to file a message

'Alt + S' will take you to SMS messages when using a combined view in your messages

Space Key

Press 'Space key' 2x creates a full stop while typing a message.

In an email field, press 'Space' once for the '@' symbol

Each subsequent press of 'Space key' wil give you a dot '.'

In a web page field, press the 'Space key' for a dot '.'

BlackBerry Smartphones also has an auto correct feature allowing you to properly punctuate contracted words without using the 'Alt + apostrophe' keys. For example 'Youll' will automatically correct to You'll when you press space.

However, in some cases a contracted word will look like another word and will not automatically correct. You can type less of the word for auto correct to function e.g.:

1) il for i'll

2) wel for we'll

3) Hel for he'll

4) Shel for she'll

5) Wont for won't

6) Shouldnt for shouldn't

7) Wer for we're
