26/10/09 - BlackBerry Gemini 8520
"The lastest BlackBerry handset to storm to the market is the BlackBerry Gemini 8520 smartphone.
The BlackBerry Gemini 8520 is an updated version of the Curve 8900. The Gemini is a tough cookie, covered in a plastic bezel casing, so it keeps out dust and dirt. Perfect for the building and construction trades. Slightly lighter than the Curve (4g lighter) it has heavyweight functionality but still feels lightweight to the touch when holding the device in your hand.
The Gemini has taken all the great functionality of the Curve 8900 and added extra new features that make the device a pleasure to use. The trackball has been replaced with a Trackpad, a nifty device which is very responsive to touch. I have listed the handset spec below:
- 320 x 240 pixels, 2.64 inches
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- Touch-sensitive optical trackpad
- Wallpapers
- SMS, MMS, Email, Instant Messaging
- MP3/AAC/AAC+/WMA/ASF player
- MP4(H.263/H.264)/WMV player
- Organiser
- Voice dialling
- Stand-by Time: Up to 408 hours
- Talk Time: Up to 4 hours 30 minutes
In summary, its a tough, good-looking device which will have a longer shelf life than most devices as it will withstand the knocks and scratches that most handsets cannot handle. The Gemini is a very, very good buy!"
